LSFD Members Honored for Service to Lower Southampton
Members of the Lower Southampton Fire Department were honored for their service during Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.

The adopted a proclamation resolution to honor the dedication of the members of the for their response during Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.
According to the proclamation that was read during the meeting, "44 members of the Lower Southampton Fire Department gave up their weekend, their family time, sleep and relaxation that day in order to serve Lower Southampton Township during a state of emergency."
Of those 44 members, 32 members bunked at the station to respond to emergencies around the clock and between both storms the department responded to 37 calls, as stated in the proclamation.
