'Murder For Hire' Of Feasterville Nurse Ends With Conviction

NORRISTOWN, PA — Two Philadelphia men on trial for orchestrating a 'murder for hire' plot that ended with the death of a young Feasterville mother have been convicted by a Norristown jury, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

Jurors found Chong Dan, 50, and Ricky Vance, 54, both of Philadelphia, guilty of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder following deliberations on Monday.

The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office confirmed to Patch that the convictions came on what would have been victim Ebony Pack's 32nd birthday.

Pack was killed in a drive-by shooting in Pottstown Borough in western Montgomery County back in November 2020 when she was 30 years old.

Pack was a young mother and nurse from Feasterville, who was found shot dead in her vehicle on Nov. 28, 2020, along East Hancock Street in Pottstown.

Prosecutors framed the killing as domestic in nature, saying defendant Dan orchestrated the killing, and solicited his friend, Vance, along with another man, Terrence Marche, 48, of King of Prussia, in helping to fatally shoot Pack, who was dating Dan's former girlfriend at the time she was killed.

Vance reportedly denied having anything to do with the crime, according to news coverage of the trial. Marche fled the country and is reportedly still being pursued by authorities.
