Neshaminy Could Elect New Superintendent Wednesday

The Neshaminy School Board added a special public meeting to the calendar this week with the purpose of voting to appoint a new superintendent for the school district.

The meeting will be held in the district offices board room at Maple Point Middle School at 7 p.m.

Former superintendent Louis Muenker retired in June after working in the district for more than 20 years. The board appointed Neshaminy’s director of elementary and secondary education, Jacqueline Rattigan, to serve as the acting superintendent until a permanent replacement was found.

The school district has held public interviews of candidates for the job, including frontrunner Robert Copeland, the current Superintendent of Schools in Piscataway, NJ.
