NFT To Hold Press Conference August 10
The Neshaminy Federation of Teachers will hold a press conference Wednesday, August 10.

The leaders of the Neshaminy Federation of Teachers [NFT] will hold a press conference this morning to present plans for the "ongoing effort to reach a contract with the Neshaminy School District," as stated in a press release issued by the union.
According to the release, teachers in the school system are about to begin their fourth academic year of working without a contract. Talks between the NFT and the Neshaminy School Board have been stalled for several months, "despite teachers’ efforts to find savings in health care costs and offering to contribute to health plan premiums."
“In advance of the bargaining session set for this Thursday, Neshaminy teachers want to share with the community what we will be doing in the new school year to continue our efforts to reach an agreement that is good for our students and fair to both teachers and taxpayers,” NFT President Louise Boyd said in the release.
