Poll Results: Should Neshaminy Close Schools, Build New Ones?
Do you think Neshaminy should build a new elementary school and close or consolidate some of the existing elementary schools? Find out the results of this week's poll.

This week, the Neshaminy School Board approved a motion to have McKissick Associates prepare materials to submit to the Department of Education in hopes of receiving about $3.8 million in state funding for construction.
This motion, board member William Oettinger, did not guarantee that a new school will be built or that schools would be closed.
Based on the report the district receiving by McKissick Associates, if a new school will be built, it will be an elementary school at the on Brownsville Road.

Should the district decide to consolidate schools, it would have to hold a public hearing and the district in its entirety would be redistricted, acting Superintendent Jacqueline Rattigan previously said in a board meeting.

In the poll, 56 percent of the votes sided with the district not building or closing schools. Only 39 percent of the votes agreed with the district moving forward with the plans.
Of the poll voters, 4 percent of them were undecided on what the district should do.
