Good Ground Park opened in June and so far this summer, the amphitheater is slated to host more than 10 free community concerts and other events.

The Town of Southampton’s parks and recreation department pays for the programming but the donation will help defray some of the costs of entertainment and the upkeep of the amphitheater, Schneiderman said.

“We are thrilled the hospital has chosen to help sponsor the amphitheater,” said Parks Director Kristen Doulos. “The annual donation will supplement our budget and help us bring first rate entertainment to our community."

“Southampton Hospital is delighted to be the first community sponsor of the new Good Ground Park in Hampton Bays," said Southampton Hospital President and CEO Robert S. Chaloner. “As the largest employer on the South Fork, we take our community involvement and commitment very seriously. Our primary mission is to provide first class health care to the residents and visitors in the communities that we service. An important part of this vision is 'recreational and wellness health,' so sponsoring programs at Good Ground Park is a good fit for us.”
