Summer Day Camp Registration Underway

Lower Southampton residents can register children for the 2012 summer camp season, which runs from June 18 through Aug. 17.

Several camping options are available based on age. Activities include swimming and field trips, loosely structured to structured play time and more. And campers can participate in theme week activities.

For an additional fee of $119, campers will be provided lunch during the entire camp season. Campers are also allowed to bring a packed lunch.

The cost for residents is $629 per camper. If interested in signing up for the extended week, Aug. 20 through 24, an additional $65 would be applied. Non-residents are also able to sign their children up for day camp, however, are unable to register until Feb. 1. The cost is $1,129 per non-resident camper.

Pioneer Camp (Ages 3 -5)

This camp will take place at and does not include any swimming or field trips for the children.

Discovery Day Camp (Ages 5 -12)

There are two locations for this camp, which includes a few field trips and swimming opportunities. Ferderbar Camp will be held at  for ages 5 - 12, and Dolphin Camp will be held at for ages 7 - 12.

Teen Camp (Ages 13 - 18)

During Teen Camp, teenagers will learn leadership skills, attend several field trips and more at Dolphin Swim Club.

Counselor In Training (Ages 13 +)

Only 55 campers are selected for the counselor in training program, which is held at two locations:  and . Campers who successfully complete this program will be honored by the Board of Supervisors at the end of the summer and will be eligible for hire.
