Teachers' Strike Prompts Neshaminy District Calendar Changes

The Neshaminy teachers' strike prompted changes to the district calendar.

To ensure that Neshaminy School District students complete 180 days of instruction by June 15, changes have been made to the district calendar following the teachers' strike.

After , the following changes have been made to the school district's calendar, as reported on the district's website:

Students will still have the day off from school February 20 for Presidents Day.

Prior to the strike, March 7 was scheduled to be a teacher professional development day and there was no school for students, however school will now be in session this date.

April 2 was also previously a teacher professional development day, but school will be in session for students this date now. April 3 and 4 were supposed to mark the first two days of Easter recesses for students, however students will report to school both of these days.

April 5 and 6 will serve as a district holiday for Easter.

Students were originally going to have the day off April 24 for Election Day, but this date will now be a regular school day for students.

In addition, students were not going to have school May 28 for Memorial Day, however students will now have school this day.
