Veterans Advisory Council to Hold Flag Retirement Ceremony

The Veterans Advisory Council will hold a formal flag retirement ceremony on Flag Day.

In honor of Flag Day, Lower Southampton's Veterans Advisory Council plans to hold a .

Thursday, June 14, the Veterans Advisory Council and Boy Scout Troop 153 will be presenting a formal Flag retirement/burning ceremony at Playwicki Farm at 6 p.m.

The scouts will be collecting any torn, faded and unusable American Flags for proper disposal Saturday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the on Street Road in Feasterville.

Flags can also be dropped off in the lobby of the and the during normal business hours.

Unwanted flags can also be brought to the event and they will be added to the ones already collected.
