$2.2 Million Road Resurfacing Project To Hit Route 113 In Phoenixville
Route 113 will be resurfaced and repaired in Phoenixville. Motorists should expect altered traffic patterns in the area.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- Work will begin Wednesday on a $2.2 million project to repair 10 miles of roadway throughout Chester County, State Senator Andy Dinniman announced Tuesday.
PennDOT’s contractor, Allan A. Myers, will mill the existing deteriorated riding surface and place new asphalt pavement on four local roads, including:
- Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) between the Berks County line and Whartnaby Street in North Coventry.
- U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Greenwood Avenue and Cypress Street/State Street in Kennett and East Marlborough.
- Route 113 (Bridge Street/Franklin Avenue/Emmett Street/Black Rock Road) between Route 23 (Nutt Road) and the Montgomery County line in Phoenixville Borough and Schuylkill.
- Waterloo Road between Newtown Road and Conestoga Road in Easttown.
“These resurfacing projects mean a smoother and safer commute for motorists on some of our most well-traveled roads and highways,” Dinniman said in a press release.
