$97.2M Needed For Great Valley Schools Facility Updates: District

The district is hosting two more public meetings seeking community input on how to handle enrollment growth and aging infrastructures.

MALVERN, PA — The Great Valley School District has scheduled two more meetings for the public to attend regarding the district's facility feasibility planning as enrollment grows and infrastructure ages.

Meetings will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 12 at General Wayne Elementary School, 20 Devon Road; and from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21 at Great Valley Middle School, 255 N. Phoenixville Pike.

According to the district, enrollment is expected to increase 3.6 percent by 2024. The district projects 819 students will join the district in the next five years.

As for the district infrastructure, an estimated $97.2 million worth of work is needed to bring facilities up to modern standards.
