A Twist on the Standard Pizza Place at Seasons Pizza
Seasons Pizza in Frazer combines friendly service and quality fare in a modern space.
We were pleasantly surprised to find a bright, modern interior in shades of sage and beige behind the doors of Seasons Pizza. We noticed diners at tables with a number placard on them and seated ourselves at an open table by the flat-screen television. The tan and brown resin table was set with utensils wrapped in white paper napkins, but no menus. We inquired at the counter about the ordering process and were told to place our order there and it would be brought out to us. A friendly gentleman handed us large paper menus, and we returned to our table to make our decision.
We placed our order, including a slice of tiramisu from the individually packed desserts from a glass display case. Water and soft drinks are available by the bottle in a refrigerated cooler or as fountain drinks. We requested tap water and were given two large cups to fill from the iced tea dispenser. We found we had violated one of our rules of dining out—be prepared—and did not bring a bottle opener or glasses for our wine. A young server said that they didn’t have a wine opener, but the more mature server offered, “let me see what I can do.” After paying our bill, we returned to the table with a table number in a metal holder.
The gracious server soon brought a corkscrew and two small Styrofoam cups for our wine. He asked what we were drinking, since he’s always interested in learning about wine. We showed him the bottle and told him we had not tried it before so we couldn’t recommend it yet. We returned the opener at the counter and thanked him again.

A young server brought a Chicken Quesadilla ($6.99) soon after we had tried our Zinfandel. He asked if we wanted our meal in courses or if we preferred having things when they were ready. We told him to bring them as they are done, and he returned with a Cheeseburger ($6.49).
The Quesadilla was a grilled tortilla filled with marinated chicken breast and mild melted cheese in good proportions. Plastic containers of pickled jalapenos, salsa from a jar and pre-packaged sour cream were a bit of a let down next to the shredded lettuce, tomato and better than average quesadilla.

The 6-ounce burger was thin so it fit the toasted Kaiser roll, but was still tender and mildly meaty. Iceberg lettuce, tomato slices and a small bag of potato chips filled the white acrylic plate.
A Large Regular Crust Pizza with half Sausage and half Pepperoni ($11.88) was served on a black textured pan on a pedestal. Although the crust appeared to be the Greek style—more crispy than an Italian dough—we found that it was actually fluffy dough, crisp on the bottom. A pleasing, slightly sweet tomato sauce, mellow cheese and quality toppings won us over.
We wanted to try some Fried Chicken noted on the menu as “freshly breaded on the premises” and requiring a 15-minute wait, so we ordered the smallest batch of four pieces ($8.49). It arrived hot from the fryer with a thin, crackling coating. The wing and leg pieces were not as juicy as the breast and thigh, which we took home and reheated.
Our considerate server brought the Tiramisu ($4.49) on a plate, stating that he didn’t want to forget about it. The soaked layers had a bit of sogginess, but the smooth mascarpone was great. We’re not coffee drinkers, so we found the crust to have too much espresso in the chocolate cookie crumb. We still had no problem in finishing the top layers rather than having it repackaged.
Although we were enjoying some conversation with other diners about the plays the Phillies were making in the game on the flat-screen television, we asked for containers to pack our leftovers and headed home.
