Garbage Truck Fire Extinguished On The Main Line

MALVERN, PA — A garbage truck fire was extinguished Friday in Malvern, officials said.

Crews were dispatched at around 7:30 a.m. for a trash truck fire on Old Lincoln Highway and Broad Street, according to the Malvern Fire Company.

The truck dumped a large pile of garbage in the middle of the road — an action that makes it easier to put out the fire.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and Malvern Public Works cleared the trash from the road, officials said.

There were no injuries.
