EAST WHITELAND TOWNSHIP, PA — An Indian restaurant touting authentic flavors and a fine-dining atmosphere recently opened in Chester County.
Sitara Indian Cuisine opened this past week at 630 Lancaster Ave. in East Whiteland Towsnhip (the restaurant has a Malvern address).
The restaurant began with two recipe notebooks carried across an ocean and "a stubborn belief that Indian food deserves a proper dining room," Sitara's website says.
"The dal sits on low heat for a full day before it reaches you. Nineteen spices are ground each morning," the restaurant says. "The tandoor runs at 480°C and is never quite off."
To celebrate the opening month, diners can get 10 percent off their bill through Oct. 31. Click here for the promotion.
