Art, Music To Converge At Malvern Church's Arts Festival And Sale

MALVERN, PA – Art and music are set to converge in Malvern next weekend, as the St. Francis-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church in Malvern is holding a three-day Arts Festival and Art Sale that will feature more than 25 local artists.
From Friday, Feb. 23, to Sunday, Feb. 25, the church will host the festival and sale that will include works from students from local high schools, a watercolor demonstration by a local artist, and musical performances.
The art is juried by Chester County native Mick McAndrews.

McAndrews is a signature member of the Philadelphia Watercolor Society (Crest Award), the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society (Sylvan Grouse Guild) and the Baltimore Watercolor Society. He will conduct a free watercolor demonstration at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24.
"This year’s Arts Festival serves to highlight both the visual and musical arts in our community,” Fr. Kevin Dellaria, rector at St. Francis-in-the-Fields, said. "We worship God in many ways, and our Arts Festival marries art and music to benefit an organization – Art PartnersStudio – that elevates the hearts, minds and spirits of our brothers and sisters in Coatesville."

Schedule for Gallery Opening, Educational Sessions and Musical Revue:
- Friday, Feb. 23
- Art Preview and Meet the Artists Reception (Wine and Hors d’oeuvres) – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

- Saturday, Feb. 24
- Watercolor Demonstration by jurist Mick McAndrews: 10:00 a.m.
- Gallery hours: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

- Saturday, Feb. 24
- Musical Revue – featuring vocalists Amanda Nicole Strydio, Brendan McGill and members of the St. Francis choir performing Broadway and popular tunes – 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 24
- Gallery reopens, Wine & Cheese Reception – 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- (Tickets required for Musical Revue and Gallery reopening; can be purchased at the door)
- Sunday, Feb. 25
- Final Exhibition & Sale – 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- (No tickets required)
Proceeds from the event benefit Art Partners Studio in Coatesville, which is committed to ensuring that everyone in Coatesville has access to quality arts education and artistic experiences that enrich their lives.
Tickets are $20 per person for the Friday evening Meet the Artists Reception and the Saturday Musical Revue and Reception. Student tickets are $5.
Free nursery care will be provided Friday night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Tickets are available online here. They are also available to purchase after the 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday church services and at the door of the event.
St. Francis-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church is located at 689 Sugartown Road in Malvern.
