Awesome Sauce: Anthony's Pizza Gets Philly Mag Kudos

will likely see a few new customers in the coming days and weeks. The new diners will be coming to check out the sauce that placed the Malvern Borough restaurant on Philadelphia magazine's list of the region's top pizza places.

Anthony's was placed in the "Best Sauce" category of the magazine's list of "Our 50 Favorite Pizza Places in the City and 'Burbs."

In the accompanying, brief writeup, the reviewers evoked scenes of Italy as they described the not-too-sweet sauce. Upon biting into an Anthony's margherita pizza, one can envision the recipe's creator, the magazine said:

[A] small, stooped and feisty nonna stirring her magic into the pot bubbling on the stove in the back while yelling at one of her many sons to chop more garlic.

Anthony's is located at 127 W. King St. in Malvern Borough.
