Learn basic book repair techniques, and in the process learn about the book's components and traditional hand-bookbinding methods in Historic Sugartown’s Bindery! In response to popular demand, our Colonial Williamsburg-trained instructor, Ramon Townsend, has developed a new workshop that explores the techniques of book restoration. Participants will dissect a book and reassemble it. Deconstruct a book by detaching the covers and spine, removing the sewing, and disassembling the text. Then reconstruct the book by performing page repair, re-sewing the text and re-hinging the covers and spine. The book, materials and supplies are provided.

Workshop Admission: $100/ Participant, all supplies included. Ages 18 & Up.
