Jamboree-on-the-Air, or JOTA, runs the third full weekend of October each year. What’s different this year from past years is that there are no set times for participation. Officially JOTA begins on Friday evening and ends Sunday evening.
SPARK Lodge will be on the air with limited activity Friday evening, October 16, 2015. Main activity time for SPARK Lodge, K3BSA, will be on the air Saturday, 17,2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

What makes SPARK Lodge tick during JOTA is a good corps of operators from the ranks of the SPARK Lodge and Pottstown Amateur Radio Clubs. K3BSA will be operated this year using the Kenwood TS-930s and what ever dipole is still hanging in the trees. That’s right, this years JOTA operation at BSA Camp Delmont may include an antenna raising.
Activities at Musser Scout Reservation will include the SPARK Lodge, K3BSA, JOTA operation and the first of the Cradle of Liberty Council Fall Fests.
Also on the air for JOTA will be our good friend Mark Abramowicz, NT3V, who will be operating KC3BSA from the Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation. Mark will be on the air all day with Cub Scouts attending their council’s Cub Adventure Days. Please listen for Mark to be on the air with the Cub Scouts. Hawk Mountain is located near Schuykill Haven, PA.
Hears’ hoping to hear you on the air or see you operating K3BSA.

Rick, WB3BSA
