Borough Council Meeting on Malvern Police

Question: What would possibly be that news worthy to bring a Fox news van to quiet Church Street in Malvern?

Answer: Malvern Borough Council meeting to discuss the possible future of the Malvern Police Department.

Apparently this meeting, which I was unable to attend, drew quite a gathering and elicited a great deal of emotion. Not surprising given that in a small town like Malvern, you tend to recognize and even befriend your local firefighters and policemen and appreciate all the more their sensitivity to the unique requirements of a small town.

The Malvern Police Department has always been extremely respectful, responsive and supportive in my view. I've had times in the past where I needed their services rather quickly and they responded and handled themselves professionally.

So, if there is no cost savings to be achieved, why is this topic even up for discussion?
