Busy Weekend Coming for GV Teams
Boys, girls basketball begin Districts; wrestling post season starts with Sectionals.

This weekend will be a busy one for Great Valley athletic teams.
Friday
Boys basketball: Great Valley at Council Rock North, 7:30 p.m.

- The Patriots being play in the District 1 AAAA tournament wth a trip to Council Rock North for a 7:30 p.m. game. For those arriving early, The Rock's girls basketball team — who are the number 1 seed in the district AAAA bracket — play at 6 p.m.
Directions to Council Rock North
Go east on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and get off at Philadelphia Exit #28. Take U.S. Route 1 north toward Trenton, NJ. After passing Neshaminy Mall on the right, the road will split. Go straight and look for signs for Route 413 North. Get off at 413 North and follow this road through Langhorne, pass St. Mary Hospital on the right and George School on the left. Turn left at the traffic light past George School (413 Bypass). Go through 2 lights and turn right onto Swamp Road (right turn past sec0nd). The School is on left.

Saturday
Wrestling: Great Valley at Section IV Tournament at Boyertown High School, 9:30 a.m.
- Great Valley will join the host Bears, Bishop Shanahan, Downingtown East, Downingtown West, Kennett, OJ Roberts, Spring-Ford and Unionville for the all day and all night tourney that starts at 9:30 a.m. The finals begin at 6 p.m.
Directions to Boyertown
Take Route 100 North through Coventry and Pottstown. After passing through Pottstown, continue another 10 miles or so and look for the Route 73, Boyertown exit. After exiting, turn left and continue about six blocks and look for Monroe Street on the right. Turn right and follow to the high school complex.
Girls basketball: Great Valley at Lower Merion, 1 p.m.
The Patriots take on the number 5 seeded Aces in round one of the District 1 AAAA girls portion of the playoffs.
Directions to Lower Merion High School
Take Route 202 toward King of Prussia. Follow signs for Philadelphia I-76/Devon Drive. Continue on ramp onto the Schuylkill Expressway. Heading east on the expressway, go 2.3 miles to the Route 320/South Gulph Road exit. When you exit, you will be on Monthgomery Avenue. Continue 3.8 miles to 315 Montgomery Avenue, where the school will be on th left.
