There are many therapeutic benefits to triggerpoint therapy including enhanced circulation, improved range of motion, and reduced pain and muscle tightness. In this weeks modality you will gain experience in accessing and treating those hard-to-reach areas of tension, ease muscle restrictions, address adhesions, and release stubborn knots, enabling your clients to experience deeper relaxation and enhanced mobility. Learn about how triggerpoints can cause referred pain and how to locate and effectively treat them.
In this interactive hands-on BASIC Introductory class, you will learn:
1. Description of the Modality
2. Account of its historical development
3. Benefits & Contraindications
4. Specific techniques for basic training
Please wear comfortable flexible clothing. Bring a set of sheets, pillowcase or face cradle cover, blanket, and pump bottle with your preferred lotion or cream.
Certificates of completion will be issued at the end of the class. Please use the name you want on your certificate when you register.
You Do NOT need to bring a table, we have plenty!
This class will be with current massage students at the WIofCC however only licensed massage therapists will earn continuing education credits.
