COURSE DESCRIPTION
Introduction to Oncology Massage Therapy is a 16-hour continuing education course designed to help licensed massage therapists safely adapt massage for clients affected by cancer. Participants will learn foundational oncology concepts, common cancer treatments and side effects, and important contraindications and precautions. Through lecture and hands-on practice, therapists will develop skills to modify pressure, positioning, and techniques to provide safe, supportive, client-centered care for individuals across the cancer continuum.
Please wear comfortable LAB Clothes
Please Bring: sheets, gel, oil or lotion, pen and notebook. Massage tables are not needed, we have plenty.
