Chesco Flags Fly at Half Staff

The flags were lowered in honor of West Goshen Township Supervisor Dr. Robert White, who was struck and killed by a car last week.

All flags at Chester County government facilities were to fly at half staff on Monday, Aug. 18.

The flags were lowered to honor West Goshen Township Supervisor Dr. Robert White, the county said.

Dr. White, a dentist who had recently been re-elected, was struck by a car and killed Wednesday, Aug. 13, The News Journal said. White was walked in front of the ShopRite on West Chester Pike when a car hit him and then the building, The News Journal said.

White was transported to Chester County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The vehicle’s driver, a woman, is cooperating with the investigation, police told The News Journal. It was unclear if charges would be filed.
