Chester County Middle School Students Win Global Competition

Three West Chester middle-schoolers are the recent winners of a global competition.

The trio of Stetson Middle School students won a global wind energy technology competition coordinated each month by the KidWind Project.

Using materials from their technology education classroom, the 7th graders created a power-generating wind turbine and sent their data, research, and photos of the turbine to the KidWind Challenge, according to the West Chester School District.

Entries are judged on efficiency, innovative design, and quality of construction in comparison to other teams from around the world.
