Child Safety Event Set For Saturday

Rep. Duane Milne (R-167th), in partnership with Safe Kids Chester County, is launching National Child Passenger Safety Week at an event in Malvern on Saturday.

The free event is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 13 at 70 Lancaster Ave. in Malvern.
Among the activities planned are:

- Safety checks by trained technicians to ensure that car and booster seats are correctly installed;
- Digital fingerprinting for child identification by law enforcement;
- Hearing and vision tests for children, conducted by the Lions Club;
- Oral health checks for children, conducted by a dentist and hygienist from Community Volunteers in Medicine;
- Information for new and expectant mothers from Healthy Start;
- and Yellow Dot registration packets from Paoli Hospital.
