DOJ: Hazardous Waste Illegally Stored in Chesco
The company has been fined $1.2 million and must appoint a new president and CEO.

Hazardous waste was stored illegally in Chester County for years, the U.S. Department of Justice announced this week.
Action Manufacturing Company of Bristol has been fined $1.2 million for illegally storing the explosive hazardous waste in Atglen, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Additionally, the company was sentenced to five years’ probation and ordered to appoint a new president and CEO.
Action makes timing and arming devices for munitions and explosives, the Inquirer said. The violations were discovered in 2011 during an EPA inspection.
