East Whiteland Getting $350K In Water Service Improvements

Crews are working to install new water mains on Moores Road between Church Road and North Phoenixville Pike as part of an major project.

EAST WHITELAND TOWNSHIP, PA – East Whiteland Township is getting hundreds of thousands of dollars in water service upgrades as part of a major water infrastructure improvements in Chester County, Aqua PA announced recently.

According to Aqua PA, the work in East Whiteland is part of $620,000 in infrastructure improvement projects are currently underway in Chester County.

In East Whiteland Township, crews are working on a $350,000 project to install 2,150 feet of 8-inch ductile iron pipe.

This project involved replacing an existing iron main on Moores Road between Church Road and North Phoenixville Pike.

The project is expected to be complete later this month.

The new mains will improve service reliability, reduce the potential for discolored water and improve firefighting capabilities.

These projects are part of more than $29 million in total infrastructure improvement projects planned in 2017 in Chester County.
