
Second grade students at Kathryn D. Markley School walked the Chester Valley Trail to visit the East Whiteland Fire Company Station 5 on Wednesday morning, the fire company said, and had a little surprise with them.
The students had raised over $600 by selling pencils.
When they arrived at the fire company, they presented the check.

Fire officials said they gave the students a tour of the building, equipment on the apparatus, and the various vehicles and apparatus used for emergency calls.
