Famous Toastery Giving Out 'Kelcenator' Sandwiches Again Friday

Named after Eagles center Jason Kelce, the "Kelcenator" features a pound of bacon, two slices of ham, two sausage patties, an egg, and more.

EXTON, PA – For the second week in a row, Famous Toastery in Exton is planning to give away free "Kelcenator" sandwiches in honor of Philly sports teams success, with Villanova's NCAA championship win being the most recent.

That's right, the sandwich named after Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, is being given away on Friday, April 6 to the first 30 people in Famous Toastery's door.

The sandwich is about as larger-than-life as Kelce's storied Super Bowl parade speech, during which he donned full Mummers garb and railed critics who said the Eagles were unable to be successful in the 2017-2018 season.

It features one pound of bacon, two slices of ham, two sausage patties, lettuce, tomato and mayo, is topped with a fried egg, and is served with potato chips and a pickle on the side.

Even if you aren't one of the 30 in the door, you can still get the sandwich as half price all day Friday.

During Friday’s giveaway, customers 21-and-over may also receive one free mimosa, as the Famous Toastery has been offering complimentary mimosas every Thursday and Friday since the Eagles won the Super Bowl, and will continue to do so throughout 2018.

"We gave away 30 of these for free last Friday, and we had such a great response with people coming in early and really enjoying the sandwich," Famous Toastery's Chris Phillips said. "But many people came in and said they couldn't eat it because it was Good Friday and they weren't eating meat, so we wanted to give those customers another chance to come in and try one of these delicious sandwiches on us."

Phillips calls the Kelcenator "a monster" of a sandwich.

"It's like your standard B.L.T., but we added a couple other pork options to really make it special," he said. "It's also guaranteed to leave you full, and we all know that eating your breakfast is the best way to not be 'pissed off' all day, as one local sports hero recently said."

The Famous Toastery is located at 120 Woodcutter Street in Exton.
