Fatal Accident Shutters Turnpike in Chester County

One person was killed and two injured in the crash between the Downingtown and Morgantown interchanges.

A deadly crash in the westbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Chester County led to the highway being closed Wednesday afternoon.

A driver lost heading west lost control of his vehicle around 4 p.m. near mile marker 307, State Police told NBC10. The vehicle flipped, and two of its three occupants were ejected.

NBC10 reported that one person was killed, and two injured. Their conditions were unknown.

The westbound lanes of the Turnpike were closed between Downingtown and Morgantown as a result of the crash.
