Former NBA Player Coming To Malvern Prep To Speak About Addiction
And his "miraculous" recovery. The public is invited.

Malvern Prep will host former NBA player Chris Herren on campus on Tuesday, October 27 at 7 p.m.
Tickets are not required for this event.
Herren will speak about his life as a player in the NBA, as well as his “descent into addiction and the miraculous recovery that followed.”

Herren, a 6’2 guard, played for Boston College and CSU Fresno before being drafted in the second round by the Denver Nuggets. He also played a few seasons for the Boston Celtics before pursuing a further professional career in Europe.
The Massachusetts native has suffered with addiction for much of his life, according to his biography on A Hoop Dream, and has founded the Herren Project to provide support and inspiration to others working through a similar plight.
