Foundation At Great Valley Adds New Partner To Improve Local Schools

The innovative program is helping to ensure Great Valley public schools have the funding they need to do great work.

MALVERN, PA – The Foundation at Great Valley welcomed Malvern-based CertainTeed Corp as a corporate supporter through the “Partners in Education” program, they announced in a press release Monday.

The program, launched this year by the Foundation at Great Valley, provides a vehicle through which area businesses can help ensure that Great Valley public schools have the funding they need for innovation to continue in its programs and classrooms, the Foundation said.

CertainTeed is owned by Saint-Gobain, the world’s largest building materials company.

“CertainTeed initiated a relationship with Great Valley schools immediately upon moving its U.S. headquarters to Malvern this fall,” said Board President Elizabeth McGarrigle. “The company is already working with the district in its ongoing development of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) curriculum, and they have hosted a group of students at their facility.”

“CertainTeed has also provided financial support to the Foundation by sponsoring our golf event, and now becoming a Partner in Education. CertainTeed is clearly committed to our Great Valley students, and our entire community. It is an exciting partnership,” said McGarrigle.

The Partners in Education program allows businesses who would like to support education to also see benefits for their financial support.

Levels of sponsorship begin at a $3,000 commitment and offer benefits like athletic venue advertising, placement of business logo in Foundation and school district publications, annual golf and tennis event participation privileges, and business name acknowledgment on recognition plaques in each school.
