Great Valley Community Org Buys Land For New Community Center
The Great Valley Community Organization is planning to build a 41,000-square-foot state of the art community center in Malvern.

MALVERN, PA — The Great Valley Community Organization recently bought land as it moves forward with building a 41,000-square-foot state-of-the-art community center.
The organization (GVCO) bought 7 acres of land at 51 N. Bacton Hill Road in Malvern from the Great Valley School District for $959,000.
The community organization has been raising funds since late 2015 through its Building Connections capital campaign. To date GVCO has raised just less than $2 million from more than 220 donors throughout the Great Valley community.

The goal is to continue to raise funds and secure financing to build the new community center.
The purpose would be to better service the residents in the local community with superior, all-encompassing programming.

GVCO has partnered with IMC Construction, JMR Engineering and Arcus Design to assist in the development of the project, as well as the design and construction of the facility.
The anticipation is that GVCO will "break ground" for the new facility during the second quarter of 2019 in hopes of opening the facility in the early half of 2020.

GVCO, a local community organization founded in 2001, has been operating out of 10,000 square feet of leased space at 17-19 N. Bacton Hill Rd since 2005.
The organization provides a wide variety of community programming for children, adults and seniors in the Great Valley School District and the surrounding area. Programming includes youth sports, adult, senior, arts, special needs and educational programming, along with providing numerous service and internship opportunities.
Through the years GVCO has served well over 12,000 residents with its programming.
