Great Valley Principal Steals Drugs From Nurse, Resigns: Reports
Principal Michael Flick is accused of stealing prescription drugs from the nurse's office in Great Valley High School.

MALVERN, PA – Great Valley High School's principal has resigned as he faces charges related to theft of prescription drugs from the school nurse's office, according to court documents and media reports.
Michael Flick, 44, has been charged with eight counts of theft by unlawful taking and eight counts of possession of a controlled substance, court records show.
NBC10 reports Flick admitted he stole prescription pills from the nurse's office in the school.

According to Action News, Flick resigned amid the charges and is seeking treatment.
"This news comes as a tremendous shock to our school community, and there are many details that we are not able to share," Great Valley Superintendent Regina Speaker Palubinsky said in a statement. "However, together, we will work through this difficult time."

Flick was released on $10,000 unsecured bail Tuesday and will appear in court for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 30.
"Although we realize this is a very difficult situation, we will work as a collaborative team to move forward, and we ask that our school community comes together – as it often does - to support each other," Palubinsky said. "We send our positive thoughts to Mr. Flick and his family as he focuses on his health."
