Great Valley SD Eyeing Elementary School Realignment
The district wants to better balance its elementary schools int he 2018-2019 school year and a committee is exploring realignment options.

MALVERN, PA – The Great Valley School District is floating the idea of redistricting its elementary school boundaries.
The district said the idea was introduced to make sure all elementary schools in the district are "well balanced."
To further explore the idea, the district's Board of Directors approved the formation of a Community Advisory Committee to examine the topic.

The committee features two parent representatives from each of the district's four elementary schools, school administrators, and board members.
The committee will begin reviewing possible realignment in June and will work during the 2017-2018 school year with hopes of making a recommendation in November, the district said.

Ideally, the district would implement a new policy for the 2018-2019 year.
