As Goffredo moves to the superintendent position, Wexler will take his position.
"I am thrilled to assume a new role with the same great team I’ve been blessed to work with for many years," Goffredo said. "The staff in Great Valley is stellar and the commitment to our students and their families is exemplary. I am also grateful for a community that is engaged in our schools and has a vested interest in a quality public education."
Goffredo joined the district in 2009 as principal of Great Valley High School. In 2012, he moved from the high school to district office where he assumed the role of assistant superintendent.
"I am truly honored for the opportunity to lead in this role, and look forward to expanding the relationships I have formed with students, staff, the school board and community over the past six years," Wexler said. "As we continue our equity work in the District, I look forward to our continued growth and learning so that we can foster supportive, safe and exceptional educational experiences for all students in Great Valley."
Wexler joined the district in 2014 as the Director of Student Services. Most recently, Wexler became co-chair of the Great Valley School District Council for Equity and Inclusion, a committee of parents, teachers, staff, students, and school board that is working to maximize opportunities to build an inclusive culture in Great Valley. She is also a member of the Great Valley Safety Council, a committee of staff members and community responders/officials who meet throughout the year to address topics related to the physical and mental well-being of Great Valley students and schools.
