With Help Of Social Media Sharing, Missing West Whiteland Boy Found
Authorities said the public's help was vital in finding the missing teen, last seen leaving a school for students with special needs.

WEST WHITELAND, PA -- Citing the public’s assistance and the massive sharing of information via social media, local police said that the West Whiteland boy missing since February 8 had been found in Washington D.C.
John Thomas Parker, 14, had family in that area, police said.
He was last seen leaving a school for children with special needs and boarding a SEPTA train from Exton bound for Philadelphia. Authorities believed he was trying to reach Washington.

“From sharing the social media posts to calling our agency with tips, the public’s assistance was invaluable in this case,” police said. “The West Whiteland Township Police Department would also like to thank the FBI in Newtown Square, PA, the FBI in Washington, DC, the Chester County Detectives, and the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC. Their assistance helped bring this case to a successful conclusion.”
Authorities added that Parker was home safe now and that he was “doing well.”
