Immaculata Fashion Show To Help Local Girls Get Prom Dresses

The show will help girls who need dresses and prom tickets by donating proceeds and some of the featured dresses to local girls.

MALVERN, PA — Immaculata University is gearing up for its annual fashion show, and the show will help local girls who cannot afford prom dresses by raising funds and donating dresses featured in the show.

The annual Fashion Show will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 4 at the university's Great Hall.

This year's theme is "A Night in the 20s."

With prom season approaching, Immaculata University’s Fashion Merchandising Department is holding a fundraiser during the fashion show. Profits from the event will be donated to high school girls who cannot afford prom dresses or tickets to their proms. In addition, many dresses worn in the show will be donated as well.

In addition to the show, there will be hors d’oeuvres and refreshments; live entertainment by the band Three in One; raffle prizes; vendor tables; and guest presentations on styling hair and makeup for prom night.

A collection of garments designed by Immaculata’s Fashion Merchandising students will be one of many highlights of the fashion show. The latest prom designs from David’s Bridal’s 2020 prom dress collection; selections from Elizabeth Johns Boutique; and formal cultural wear from Immaculata’s African American Cultural Society will also hit the runway. Guests of all ages will be able to experience college-level fashion merchandising projects through an editorial exhibition room, which will be on display.

Tickets for the Fashion Show are $10 for students and $25 for adults and are available online here.
