Immaculata Gets $874K In Coronavirus Relief

About $95 million in CARES Act funding is being allocated to institutions of higher learning in the Philadelphia area.

MALVERN, PA — Billions in relief funding is being allocated by the federal government through the CARES Act, with a chunk of that funding going Immaculata College.

A total of about $95 million in CARES Act money will be allocated to colleges and universities in the Philadelphia region.

Immaculata University is getting $1 million in funding. Of that figure, $503,045 will be earmarked for emergency financial aid and grants for students.

The university will be able to determine how to spend the remaining funds.

Funds allocated were based on factors such as enrollment, the number of students who are eligible for the federal Pell grants, and more.

Temple University got the most in funding, as it was allocated $27.8 million.
