International Students Make "Hands" for Children in Need
Local Au Pairs To Focus on Empowering Youth

October 26, 2016-Every young person has dreams of who they will become. Yet, millions of young people face the unstable circumstances of poverty causing many to leave their education behind to find ways to provide for their basic needs— pushing their dreams further out of reach.
While these misfortunes are significant, all young people, in spite of their circumstances, possess assets, skills, and gifts that can improve their lives. Investments in financial literacy, job and entrepreneurship training, and youth-led groups and networks can help overcome the setbacks of poverty.
On November 20, local international au pairs, representing Brazil, Colombia, France, Germany, Mexico, Poland, and Thailand, will team up with Cultural Care Au Pair's Kids First Foundation to raise money for youth in Nicaragua and Indonesia. For every artistic and inspirational hand they make and send in, $1.90 will be donated by the Bezos Family Foundation. To find out more about making hands, http://studentsrebuild.org/you...
Au pairs are caring and committed, adventurous and educated young people, ages 18-26 years, from many different countries worldwide. They are eager to experience American culture while sharing their own unique backgrounds with their host families. They receive free room and board and a weekly stipend in exchange for providing the family with high-quality, live-in childcare.
