Local Art Show And Sale This Weekend In Malvern

Area singers will also perform Gabriel Fauré's Requiem in D minor on Saturday for attendees.

MALVERN, PA – A local church will play host to an art show and sale this weekend where tons of area artists will show their work and local singers will perform a last 1800s vocal piece. The Art Show and Sale will be held from Friday, April 28 through Sunday, April 30.

St. Francis-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church will host the weekend long event, which kicks off Friday with a preview reception from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The reception will allow guests to meet the artists, preview the juried artwork and enjoy wine and butlered hors d’oeuvres. Tickets for the Preview Reception are $32 per person.

On Saturday, the St. Francis-in-the-Fields adult choir and members of other local choirs will perform Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem in D minor from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

After the concert, the art show and sale will continued from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will have a wine and cheese reception.

On Sunday, the galley will open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tickets for both the Friday Preview Reception, the Saturday concert and Art Show and Sale are $42 per person; while tickets for tickets for both the concert and the Saturday Art Show and Sale are $22 per person.

Admission to the show on Sunday is free.

More than 30 local artists, some in middle and high school as well as Chester County native Fred Danzinger, will be featured at the event

All proceeds will go to the charitable outreach in the parish’s community.

The concert and the Art Show and Sale will be held at the church, located at 689 Sugartown Road in Malvern.
