A popular Main Line dinner spot is hosting a one-night only, four-course wine dinner on the final day of February featuring wines from two of California's premier vineyards.

Nectar in Berwyn is partnering with Hall and Walt Wineries of Napa and Sonoma counties, respectively – two of the most celebrated wines coming out of California – for a four-course wine dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

The dinner event begins at 6:30 p.m. at Nectar, 1091 Lancaster Ave. in Berwyn.

After the reception, dinner will begin with smoked salmon with a crispy poached egg, Brussels sprouts and cassis mustard, paired with a 2014 Walt la Brisa Chardonnay from Sonoma.

The second course features roasted guinea hen stuffed with roasted mushrooms and chestnut velouté, paired with a 2014 WALT la Brisa Pinot Noir from Sonoma.

The main course is a Pineland Farm short rib with black winter truffle polenta, cipollini onions and pork lardons, paired with Hall’s 2014 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon.

For dessert, guests will enjoy house-made chocolate truffles.

"The winemakers at both the HALL and WALT wineries produce some of the most heralded wines coming out of California, and we're honored to host this event and share our restaurant with them," Feury said. "Our wine dinners are a lot of fun, and our sommeliers and I have come up with some delicious pairings to complement each varietal that we’re serving. We are really excited for what should be a delicious night featuring some incredible flavors."
