Main Line Health Hospitals Host 'Big Latch On' Event
The event was part of efforts to "promote, protect and support breastfeeding women and their babies," Main Line Health said.

Last week, some 56 mothers and their children “latched on” at four Main Line Health Hospitals as part of the worldwide “Big Latch On” event.
The synchronized breastfeeding event is part of efforts to “promote, protect and support breastfeeding women and their babies,” Main Line Health said.
Fifty-six mothers gathered at Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr Hospital, Paoli Hospital and Riddle Hospital on Aug. 1. Mothers from 120 countries around the world participated in the event -- the goal was to beat last year’s total of 14,536 breastfeeding mothers.

“All breastfeeding women and children must be latched on for one minute at a set time and are counted by witnesses,” Main Line Health said.
Main Line Health’s Big Latch On events were organized and hosted by the Nursing Mothers Alliance and the Main Line Health Lactation Committee.
