Main Line Library Hosting Gun Violence Event Wednesday March 14
The event will feature local and state leaders who will discuss gun laws, mental health, school safety, and more

A Main Line library is gearing up to host an event that will focus on gun violence on Wednesday, March 14.
From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Tredyffrin Library will host an event from One Day One Voice, a non-profit grassroots movement that started in Roanoke, Virginia after the school tragedy in Parkland, Florida on February 14.
The event will feature various local and state leaders who will discuss gun laws, mental health, school safety, and more.

Below is the schedule for Wednesday's event:
- 2 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. — Introduction: “Come Together” Reverend Neal Jones: Unitarian Church
- 2:15 p.m. - 3 p.m. —Jessica Kapadia, Be Smart. Focus: Gun Safety in the home and community
- 3 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. — Lieutenant William Donahue, Pennsylvania State Police Station Commander Troop J, Gun Law Expert. Focus: Presenting an informational session on current and proposed Pennsylvania gun laws.
- 3:45 p.m. — Gun Sense of Chester County – Ann Colby-Cummings, Chairperson Gun Sense Chester County. Focus: Building bridges, finding our common goals
- 4:30 p.m. — School Psychologist/Mental health professionals - Amy Smith. Focus: How can parents talk to their children about violence.
- 5:15 p.m. — Deb Ciamacca, Conestoga High School Teacher. Focus: Re-framing the Issue; School Safety or Gun Control? How can we talk to each other about the issue that matters most?
- 5:45 p.m. — Closing: "America The Beautiful" – Hands-Across America
The library is merely hosting the event, not sponsoring it, officials said.
