Main Line Relay For Life Kicks Off June 3 At 3 p.m.
Great Valley High School in Malvern is hosting the annual American Cancer Society fundraiser.

MALVERN, PA – The Main Line Relay for Life event is all set to raise funds for the American Cancer Society this weekend. The event will begin at 3 p.m., June 3, at Great Valley High School in Malvern.
The day begins at 3 p.m. with an opening ceremony and survivors lap, where those who fought cancer and won take a lap around the track on honor of their strength through the difficult fight.
The candlelight luminaria and closing ceremony will being at 8:30 p.m.

So far, the event has raised more than $70,400 of its $100,000 goal.

Relay for Life is a national event held at thousands of high schools throughout the United States.
The student-led walks are typically held in May and June.
Cancer survivors, their families and members of the community walk around high school tracks all day and night to raise money to help cancer victims and fund cancer research.
A candlelight luminaria ceremony is held at night, honoring cancer victims.
