Malvern actor flips, trips, and tips in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" at the Walnut
Ben Dibble shines in the Walnut Street Theatre's production of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum"

Malvern resident and Philadelphia comic actor Ben Dibble returns to the Walnut stage to play a Protean in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, playing now through October 15.
This hilarious musical follows the story of Pseudolus, a crafty slave who struggles to win the hand of a beautiful, but slow-witted, courtesan named Philia for his young master, Hero, in exchange for freedom. The plot twists and turns with cases of mistaken identity, slamming doors, and a bevy of beautiful showgirls.

Ben Dibble plays one of the three Proteans. With the perfect accessories, these quick changing actors appear as numerous characters during the course of the evening. Their physical humor and wild facial expressions add to the outrageous comedic moments in the show. No stranger to the stage, Dibble has previously been seen in Walnut productions including Saturday Night Fever, Harvey, High Society, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and The Producers.
