Malvern Backpack Drive To Help Area Families
Drop off school supplies and backpacks to help support needy area families and their children in the 2018-2019 school year.

MALVERN, PA – A backpack drive is underway in the Malvern area.
The People's Pantry/Covenant Presbyterian Church and the Great Valley School District are hosting the drive.
A drop-off box and shopping lists are located in the Malvern Library and the Covenant Presbyterian Church. A list of needed supplies is below.

Last year, more than 200 backpacks were given out.
The People’s Pantry is 501c3 organization. Those looking to help but cannot make a backpack donation, you can contribute directly to the People's Pantry.

The Malvern Library is locate at 1 E. 1st Ave., Suit 2 and the Covenant Presbyterian Church is located at 400 Lancaster Ave.
Below are needed school supplies:
- Backpacks (for high school students) – plain, neutral color, heavy-duty backpacks
- Colored Pencils (12 pack)
- Small glue sticks
- No. 22 Pencils
- Three ring, 1 inch white binders
- Three ring, 1 ½ inch or 2 inch binders
- Pink Pearl Erasers (2-3 inches)
- Plastic rulers
- Calculators (basic)
- Post It Notes (3-by-3 inches)
- Calculators, Scientific
- Pencil Sharpeners (to carry in backpack)
- Spiral Ruled Notebooks (both college and wide ruled)
- Broadline washable markers
- Index cards
- Scissors – blunt and pointed
