Malvern Borough Hall Closure Extended Indefinitely

The borough initially said the closure would last until April 13. But on Friday that changed.

MALVERN, PA — On Friday, Malvern Borough said it is extending the closure of the borough hall.

Now, officials say the borough will be closed indefinitely.

The borough closed last week with the intent to reopen on April 13.

However, the closure was extended until further notice in accordance with Chester County's guidance.

During the closure, emergency services such as police and fire, public works services such as garbage collection, and administrative business will still be available.

The Malvern Public Library will be closed during this time, as well

All borough parks and playgrounds will remain closed until further notice.

As previously outlined, this closure includes:

  • All playground equipment and the gazebo at Burke Park
  • Basketball courts and baseball field at Quann Park
  • Basketball court at Herzak Park
  • All playground equipment at Rubino Park
  • Tennis courts, baseball fields, and playground equipment at the Paoli Memorial Grounds
  • Battlefield area at the Paoli Battlefield Park

The public can still walk through parks, such as on the pedestrian pathways in Burke Park, but are not permitted to congregate. Walking trails in the Randolph Woods Nature Preserve and Paoli Battlefield Park will remain open for use during this time.
