Malvern Company Acquires Experimental Baldness Treatment Business: Report
The Malvern company is hoping to put itself on the front lines of treating pattern baldness.
MALVERN, PA -- A Malvern company has acquired a company that specializes in experimental hair loss treatment for men and women.
Aclaris Therapeutics Inc. has acquired Vixen Pharmaceuticals, according to a report.
By acquiring Vixen, Aclaris is also acquiring the Janus Kinase inhibitor compounds used for the treatment of alopecia areata, androgenetic alopecia (pattern baldness) and other similar conditions, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Aclaris said they are hoping to expand their dermatology projects for which there is a "significant unmet need," the report states.
Aclaris is located on 101 Lindenwood Drive in Malvern.
