Malvern Company Among Best Employers In US: Forbes

MALVERN, PA — A Malvern-based investment firm found itself ranked among the best employers in the nation, according to a new list from Forbes.

Among 10 Pennsylvania companies on the list was the investment company Vanguard, which is headquartered in Malvern.

Forbes' rankings were released on Tuesday and include 500 companies that have more than 5,000 employees.

Vanguard was ranked 313th in the nation and seventh in Pennsylvania.

In 2018, Vanguard was ranked 142nd in the nation and ninth in Pennsylvania.

The highest-ranked Pennsylvania company was SAP, which came in 25th in the nation overall.

The popular grocery store Trader Joe's was ranked the top employer in the United States for 2019, according to the annual list. The rankings released on Wednesday name the 500 best.

Forbes also notes that Trader Joe's establishes unique base wages for each market and offers access to benefits to part-time and full-time workers.

For the America's Best Employers 2019 list, Forbes partnered with the research firm Statista, surveying 30,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees.
